Heavy rain in South Korea has killed at least 14 people and caused thousands to evacuate their homes across the country as of 3 p.m. local time, Yonhap reported on Saturday, citing authorities.

Eleven people remain missing and two others are injured, North Gyeongsang province's fire services said.

Ten vehicles were isolated in an underground railroad in North Chungcheong province after a river overflowed, local media reported, citing the fire department. Currently, the exact number of isolated drivers and passengers is not known.
