China has deployed a fleet of five ships to participate in a military drill with Russia. The joint exercise is organized by China. The Northern/Interaction-2023 exercises aim to improve the operational and combat skills of the two militaries. CGTN's Zhao Yunfei was at the PLA Navy's departure event.
