China has hit back at a statement from the highest ranking military officer in the United States, Chairman of the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff Mark Milley, who said on Friday that it could become the biggest power in Asia over the next 10 to 15 years. A spokesperson for China's Ministry of National Defense said Beijing will never pursue hegemony.
