Tujia is one of the major ethnic groups living in Enshi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, Hubei Province. Nurtured by the Qingjiang River, a tributary of the Yangtze River, people of the Tujia ethnic group have developed unique folk customs and a rich culture over time. Many of their local handcrafts have also been listed as intangible cultural heritage items.
