At least 41 people died in South Korea as a result of heavy rain, which has caused thousands to evacuate their homes across the country, local media reported Monday.
The new toll, recorded since July 9, came after one more body was recovered on Monday from a tunnel in Cheongju, 110 kilometers south of Seoul, where 16 vehicles, including a bus, were swamped by a flash flood on Saturday after a river levee collapsed.
