The death toll from the torrential rain over the past week in South Korea has risen to 41, while eight others are still missing.
Heavy rain warnings were issued for southeastern North Gyeongsang province and central Chungcheong province, some areas of which recorded an accumulated precipitation of more than 900 millimeter for the past week.
