Team China finished their FIVB Women's Volleyball Nations League (VNL) campaign as runners-up after losing to Türkiye 3-1 on Sunday.

This was the best record for the Chinese women at this event, having entered the VNL final for the first time after beating Brazil 3-1 in the quarterfinal and Poland 3-0 in the semifinal round.

Meanwhile, Türkiye downed Italy and hosts the U.S. in the knockout stage to reach the final under new head coach Daniele Santarelli who led Serbia to the World Championships title last year.

Türkiye won the title showdown 25-22, 22-25, 25-19, 25-16, with Melissa Vargas bagging a game-high 26 points. Eda Erdem Dundar and Ebrar Karakurt added 12 points each.

Li Yingying contributed a team-high 21 points for China.
