As one of the most magnificent tourist wonderlands found in central China's Hubei Province, the city of Yichang is home to enchanting scenery and an abundance of culture. Located in the west of the province at the junction of the middle and upper reaches of the Yangtze River, the city is rich in natural resources, especially hydroelectric power. China's 1st dam spanning the Yangtze River, the Gezhouba Dam, and the world's largest dam, the Three Gorges Dam, are both located in the city. The gorges, mountains, caves and waters in Yichang make it a charming place to visit.
