In an exclusive interview with CGTN host Tian Wei, Professor Michael I. Jordan, a machine-learning pioneer of the department of electrical engineering and computer sciences and the department of statistics at UC Berkeley, says the current AI language model is a "powerful tool" with big limitations. He said the focus should be on the accuracy and adaptability of AI systems. They should be able to handle "what if" situations and uncertainty. He dispels the myth about smart machines killing all humans, saying that's science fiction.
