China and Algeria have vowed to strengthen their comprehensive strategic partnership in their joint statement, while one agenda for President Abdelmadjid Tebboune's visit to China was applying for BRICS membership. Joseph Olivier Mendo'o, the head of the African Youth Delegation in China, said the BRICS membership would enhance Algeria's engagement in technological transfers with other members.
