During the transition from spring to summer, the plateau ushers in a riot of colors. Animals begin to shed their heavy winter suits. The molting cycles for local animals vary between one and three months. The intermittent shedding makes these gentlemen and ladies seem "improperly dressed." At the end of April, camels plan to shed every single fluff off their body to better dissipate heat. The complete makeover takes about a month and a half.
