A farmer found two little birds in the vineland, one of which looked weak in Hutubi County of northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region on Monday. Worried about the birds, he sent them to the local police station. After carefully inspecting the birds, they found that one was healthy while the other was frightened and weak. The police office contacted the local wildlife conservation association. The staff of the association identified the birds as European rollers, a national second-class protected animal. The birds are now being taken good care of by the police. They will be released into the wild once they have recovered.
