Live: Volcano in southwest Iceland continues to spew lava and plumes of smoke

A volcano in an uninhabited valley near the Litli-Hrutur mountain, some 30 kilometers southwest of the capital Reykjavik, which started erupting on July 10 in southwest Iceland, was reopened to the public recently after being deemed safe by the local chief of police, media reported.
