The Chinese and Russian naval and aviation forces started a joint exercise in the Sea of Japan on July 20. 10 vessels and 30 aircraft have been deployed. The participating forces will mainly focus on conducting drills related to sea and air escorts, deterrence and repulsion, and anchorage defense among other courses.
