This year marks the 60th anniversary of the dispatch of the first Chinese medical team to Algeria. In 1963, China was in the initial stage of economic construction, but, instructed by Chinese leaders, doctors traveled to Algeria to help, Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune recalled during an interview with China Media Group. He said that true friends are those who help in times of crisis, and Algeria has great confidence in its friendship with China.
