Less than a week before the start of the Chengdu Summer University Games, the athletes' village opened Saturday in the capital of southwest China's Sichuan Province. Officials from both home and overseas joined representatives from the Chinese team, who came together to witness the opening of the athletes' village for the Games, a competition bringing together talented young athletes from universities across the world.
