Formed on July 10, a volcano in an uninhabited valley near the Litli-Hrutur mountain, some 30 kilometers southwest of the capital Reykjavik, continues to throw out "spatter bombs" of molten lava into the air. Authorities from the Icelandic Met Office reassured that the vicinity around the eruption site is uninhabited and that the eruption does not pose a risk to infrastructure at the moment.
