Serving both as a bridge and a bond for people-to-people cultural exchanges between China and France, art exhibitions and related events have long been an important part in Sino-French relations. In 2019, over 80 state-of-the-art artworks dating from the 17th century to the Napoleonic era in France were exhibited in Shanghai, offering a cultural feast to local residents and tourists alike.
