Delegations from South Africa, Hungary and Switzerland arrived at the athletes' village on July 23 ahead of the 31st FISU Summer World University Games in Chengdu, southwest China's Sichuan Province.
The athletes' village officially opened on July 22, with a colorful welcome ceremony for the first guests. With delegations from about 170 countries and regions participating, the athletes' village will launch cultural exchange activities to provide a platform for the young athletes to enhance mutual understanding and develop friendships.
