In August, the mating season of Tibetan wild asses in Qinghai begins. To gain the favor of a female, a male Tibetan wild ass must have a keen sense of observation and be extremely patient. In addition to determining which females are in heat and quickly looking for a mate, they also face repeated rejection by their beloved.
