Bole in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, with its clean air, pure waters and vast expanses of grassland, is a perfect location for raising cows. In 2014, a local company introduced the first imported Angus cows into the area. The company's plan was, by producing organic beef, to appeal to the growing number of consumers concerned about the origins of their food. Figures suggest that the strategy is likely to pay off.
