China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) emphasized the coherence of fiscal, financial, trade and investment policies to foster stable industrial growth and boost market confidence at a meeting held on Tuesday.

The ministry underlined safeguarding the independent control of key industrial chains, upgrading of traditional industries, nurturing small and medium-sized enterprises, cultivating emerging industries and strengthening research on major subjects of industry and information technology.

The meeting also urged the country to get ahead on developing emerging industries like artificial intelligence, 6G, and quantum technology. This would serve to bolster China's global competitiveness.
