International delegations to the 31st FISU Summer World University Games are confident that their athletes will give top performances at the event in Chengdu from July 28 to August 8. An athletes' village officially opened on July 22 to welcome athletes from all over the world. An official said delegations from 30 countries and regions have moved into the village so far. The long-awaited event will see around 10,000 athletes and officials from over 170 countries and regions participating across 18 disciplines.
