Since the 1960s, the City of Paris Museum of Modern Art has been playing a pioneering role in promoting the art of the moving image. In 2022, a selection of 16 works from the museum's extensive collection of moving images was exhibited at the Red Brick Art Museum in Beijing. Among them were award-winning pieces from the Venice Biennale, each offering a diverse perspective on the theme of "intimate relationships."

The exhibition also delved into the development of moving-image art and explored new and immersive presentation methods.
