Rehearsals for the opening ceremony of the upcoming 31st FISU Summer World University Games are in full swing as the grand event will kick off on July 28 in Chengdu City of southwest China's Sichuan Province. The brand-new 40,000-seat Dong'an Lake Sports Park Stadium will host the opening ceremony of the Games. Director Chen Weiya said he hopes to present a "historical touch" and immersive experiences of local culture at the ceremony. More than 10,000 athletes and officials from nearly 170 countries and regions will flock to the event.
