China and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) held commemorative activities to mark the 70th anniversary of the armistice in the Korean War. Xue Chen, PhD, a research fellow at the Shanghai Institutes for International Studies, says China's involvement in the fight against U.S.-led forces in the War to Resist U.S. Aggression and Aid Korea changes the dynamics of the region and shifts U.S.' recognition to China.
