How Gen Z sees the world: China-Laos Railway a link of friendship
Global Stringer

Eakvixay Tran is a Lao student studying economics at Tsinghua University. His Chinese name is Xiaolong, the same as Bruce Lee's first name. The first time he took the China-Laos Railway was a two-night and three-day trip to Luang Prabang, Laos, as a reward after he won a speaking contest. Since the China-Laos Railway connected Kunming, China, and Tran's hometown of Vientiane, Laos, he has noticed more investment and real estate in Laos as well as an increase in the local employment rate.

In the future, Tran plans to use the economic knowledge he is learning in China to do business in Laos, encouraging more investment and strengthening the China-Laos relationship.
