The Miami Dolphins took a hit in their roster as their star cornerback Jalen Ramsey suffered a meniscus injury during team practice on Thursday. He will undergo surgery to fix that, according to The Athletic.

Ramsey was carted off the field after suffering the injury. According to magnetic resonance imaging, he didn't tear the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL). NFL Network reported that he may need six to eight weeks to recover after the injury.

"I'll be back on that field stronger than ever… in due time! This SO minor for God's child! I trust fully & know He got me! I'm forever grateful to worship His name! I know my brothers gone hold it down until I'm back tho! Appreciate the love & support! Time to get right!" Ramsey posted on Twitter.

The Dolphins traded tight end Hunter Long and the No. 77 draft pick for 2023 to the Los Angeles Rams for Ramsey in March. Having played seven seasons in the NFL for the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Rams, he posted 452 total tackles, 19 interceptions and six forced fumbles as one of the best in his position. He was voted into the Pro Bowl six times and the First-team All-Pro three times.

On February 13, 2022, Ramsey helped the Rams beat the Cincinnati Bengals to win Super Bowl LVI.

"We always give each other that nod … He gave me a nod he's alright. He's a strong dude," the Bengals' wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase said of Burrow.

This was the fourth consecutive pre-season during which Burrow had to deal with an injury or illness. He completed 1,044 of his 1,530 passes for 11,774 yards and 82 touchdowns in three seasons.

Burrow's incredible performance enabled the Bengals to reach Super Bowl in the 2021 season and the American Football Conference Championship Game in the 2022 season. Two of his class (2020), Jalen Hurts of the Philadelphia Eagles and Justin Herbert of the Los Angeles Chargers, already signed big contract extensions during this offseason.
