Typhoon Doksuri, the fifth typhoon of this year, made its landfall in Quanzhou, a coastal city in southeast China's Fujian Province, according to the National Meteorological Center.
China's national observatory on Thursday morning renewed a red alert to the typhoon, which has brought powerful wind and heavy rain.
