Carlo Ancelotti, manager of Real Madrid, believes that his team already has a complete squad even without French superstar Kylian Mbappe.

Real beat Manchester United 2-0 in their friendly in Houston, Texas, on Wednesday. Jude Bellingham who cost Real 103 million euros (about $113 million), scored Real's first goal. Joselu, who joined the club on loan from Espanyol, netted the other goal.

"The squad is fine," Ancelotti said after the win. "We won't have problems with the squad. A problem would be having a squad without quality ... The squad is great. It's complete."

"Bellingham's [goal] shows the quality he has. He times his runs from deep well. [Antonio] Rudiger gave him a fantastic pass and he scored. And Joselu's is a goal that you don't see often," the Italian manager added.

Besides Bellingham and Joselu, Real also landed Arda Guler and Fran Garcia during the summer transfer window. Meanwhile, the club saw a series of players leave, including key members like Karim Benzema and Marco Asensio.

Mbappe's transfer drama continued as he rejected talks with Al Hilal, which were willing to pay as much as 300 million euros (about $328.9 million) to Paris Saint-Germain and reportedly 700 million euros (about $767.6 million) of annual salary to Mbappe to bring him to the Saudi Professional League. It should be good news for Real which remain hopeful of acquiring Mbappe.

Ancelotti refused to speak about the topic as he simply answered "next question" and continued to praise the players on Real's roster.

"It's going well," Ancelotti said. "I think Vinicius is adapting. He likes playing inside a bit more... Rodrygo and Vinicius are very dangerous with the ball. We can be more direct in transitions, and Bellingham's quality helps with that."

Real still have two more games to play, one against Barcelona in Arlington, Texas, on Saturday, and the other against Juventus in Orlando, Florida, on August 2. After that, they will fly back to Spain before the 2023-24 La Liga season begins.
