Among the 49 venues of the 31st FISU Summer World University Games, 36 are renovations and upgrades of existing buildings, and 13 new venues have reached the two-star green building standard. Green building evaluation standards have three star ratings, and each star rating cannot be lower than 40 points. A green building, also known as a sustainable building, refers to both a structure and the application of processes that are environmental and provide people with a healthy, suitable use of space that is in harmony with nature throughout its lifespan.
