The 31st FISU World University Games opened on July 28 in Chengdu, the capital of southwest China's Sichuan Province. This year's grand opening ceremony was themed "chasing your dreams in Chengdu."
We can hear an ancient musical instrument, the stone chime, being played. Its prototype is the Jinsha stone chime stone unearthed from the area's archaeological site in Chengdu, Sichuan Province. The dress and makeup of the dancers are derived from the bronze figures unearthed at the Sanxingdui archaeological site which is also located in Sichuan.
