Diplomatic envoys from countries across the globe have arrived in southwest China's Chengdu to attend the opening ceremony of the Chengdu Universiade. During a tour of a local community, Luxembourg's Ambassador to China Marc Hübsch stresses the importance of local traditions as the "roots" of innovation. He points to a folding fan, describing it as a perfect tool to cool down in the summer, and a perfect example which demonstrates local craftsmanship.
