World Ranger Day falls on July 31 each year, aiming to honor the dedication and hard work that rangers do every day around the globe. They usually lead a solitary life and regard wild nature as their home. Thanks to rangers, our environment and precious wildlife are protected.

As the head of the protection station for Przewalski's gazelle in Qinghai Lake National Nature Reserve, Wu Yonglin has been devoted to conservation work for over 20 years. His work does not only include monitoring the gazelle's population but rescuing wounded or lost gazelles, and even being a "super nanny" of calves.
