The Changchun Airshow concluded on Sunday after attracting a record 650,000 visitors.
The Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) air force displayed proficient skills, stunning aerobatic shows and combat readiness at the five-day event in northeast China's Jilin Province.
During the airshow, China's domestically-developed fighter jets, transport aircraft, and training planes conducted formation flights and simulated aerial combat.
In particular, the formation of China's YY-20 aerial refueling aircraft, J-20 stealth fighter jet and J-16 multirole fighter jet made their formal debut.
"I am a junior high school student at grade two from Beijing, and I am very interested in the knowledge of aviation. It was amazing. In this airshow it's shocking for me to see my favorite J-16 fighter jet, meanwhile I'm proud to see a strong aviation industry of China," said a spectator.
"In two days, we will celebrate the 96th founding anniversary of PLA. It's not only of special commemorative significance, but also a vivid patriotic education for us to see the August 1 aerobatics team to celebrate our soldiers' own festival on this stage in such a unique way. We are excited to see the warm cheers and applause of the spectators on the site," said Chen Xiaoliang, a pilot from the team.
This year's aviation open-day activities showcased a total of 45 aircraft of 13 types in the air and 137 sets of equipment of 96 types on the ground.
