China's space program has entered a new stage of deep space exploration, and Chinese engineers have overcome various of technical challenges by using liquid hydrogen and liquid oxygen as fuel to power the rocket engines.
China's self-developed 3.35-meter-diameter general-purpose hydrogen-oxygen engine has completed a comprehensive test run for a 10-tonne hydrogen-oxygen engine, marking a milestone of the country's technological leap forward in the high-end aerospace sector.
Developed by the 703rd Research Institute, China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASC)'s First Academy, the new hydrogen-oxygen engine is a high-performance rocket module based on its predecessor of the 3-meter-diameter model.

The new device is capable of meeting future needs of new-generation medium-sized launch vehicles, and it also has a broad market demand.
Adopting the common bottom technology of the storage tanks which simplifies the launch process, it can greatly reduce the launch process.
In this case, the new engine is more suitable for rapid launch of rockets in batches, according to the institute.
