As the 31st summer edition of the FISU World University Games get underway in Chengdu, Sichuan Province, this southwestern Chinese metropolis is embracing guests from around the world. Known for China's most famous black-and-white creatures, Chengdu is not only the hometown of giant pandas, but it's also famous for its spicy cuisine, face-changing-featured Sichuan Opera, and numerous teahouses.
