Eakvixay Tran is a Lao student studying economics at Tsinghua University. Tran thinks the China-Laos Railway linking southwest China's Kunming City with the Lao capital Vientiane means a lot to Laos and its people, as the import and export of goods and exchange of culture and personnel were boosted after it became fully operational. Tran himself is a good example, having moved to Beijing to study. As China encourages Chinese enterprises to invest and do business in Laos, enabling Laos to utilize rich natural resources, Tran is very optimistic about the development potential of his country.
