Where the Jinsha River joins the Zhuti River in Zhaotong, Yunnan, these two waters have given rise to a promising tourist destination. Known as the "Grand Canyons of West China," this natural wonder, consisting mainly of the Grand Canyon of Jinsha River and the Grand Canyon of Zhuti River, runs for over 1,100 kilometers attaining a width of between 50 to 2,000 meters, with a basin area of 23,000 square kilometers. It forms a circular tourism route that connects various regional attractions, including the Dashanbao National Nature Reserve for Black-necked Cranes.
