Xiangcheng Sports Centre is located in Xindu District, Chengdu, southwest China's Sichuan Province. When viewed from above, the entire center looks like a water wave, with its two arenas stretching out like lotus leaves. The arena floor is paved with highly permeable materials while the sloping roofs converge rainwater to the water storage, from where it is used for various purposes, including the central air-conditioning, after purification. Importantly, such a design prevents water from stagnating in public areas.
