The China Media Group (CMG) and the National Forestry and Grassland Administration held a signing ceremony for a strategic cooperation framework agreement on international communication on Tuesday in Beijing.
Shen Haixiong, deputy head of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee and CMG president, and Guan Zhi'ou, head of the National Forestry and Grassland Administration, witnessed the signing and jointly launched the broadcast of the five-episode 4K documentary series "National Parks: A Land of Symbiosis."
Hu Jinjun, CMG vice president, and Tan Guangming, deputy head of the National Forestry and Grassland Administration, attended the event and delivered speeches.
According to the agreement, the two parties will carry out strategic cooperation on international communication in the fields of forest, grassland, wetland, desert, wild animal and plant resource protection, and the construction of a natural protected area system with national parks as the main body.
Through the creation of new media products, brand columns and features, television programs and documentaries, both parties will jointly contribute to the realization of Chinese Modernization in which man and nature coexist harmoniously.
The five-episode 4K documentary series "National Parks: A Land of Coexistence" takes the first batch of national parks officially established in China and several pilot areas of the former national park system as the theme, and uses the three major steps of China's topography as geographical clues to present a panoramic view of the vibrant scene in China's national parks.
Through vivid natural stories, the program tells the story of snow leopards, Siberian tigers, giant pandas, crested ibises, snub-nosed monkeys, Tibetan antelopes and other animals living in harmony with humans in national parks.
The documentary will premiere on CCTV-1 at 22:30 for five consecutive days from August 7 to 11. It will be broadcast on CCTV-4 at 18:10 from August 8, and broadcast on CCTV-4K at 20:00 from August 9.
In May 2021, the three-episode 4K documentary series "National Parks: The Wildlife Kingdom" premiered in the United States. It is currently distributed in 107 countries and regions around the world, making a major breakthrough in international communication.
