Three trains got stuck and road traffic was completely blocked in some areas of Beijing's Fangshan and Mentougou districts due to severe flooding caused by downpours. An aviation brigade of the 81st Group Army of the People's Liberation Army carried out transfer and airdrop missions on August 1. Four transport helicopters with 26 officers and soldiers promptly flew to places including Yanhecheng Station to drop off relief supplies and transfer patients.
