Katsuo Nishiyama, an 81-year-old professor emeritus at Shiga University of Medical Science in Japan, revealed on July 30 a series of crimes committed by Unit 731, a notorious branch of the Imperial Japanese Army that conducted lethal experiments on people from China and other countries during World War II, as it sought to develop chemical and biological weapons.
