Canada: Eagle Bluff fire continues near U.S. border, burning more than 1,400 hectares

A town in western Canada was evacuated over the weekend under threat of the advancing Eagle Bluff fire that began in Washington state.
The fire caused hazy skies in Osoyoos, British Columbia, as it moved towards the U.S./Canada border.
Statistics from the provincial wildfire service showed that as of July 30, there were 363 active wildfires in British Columbia, with 11 new fires between July 29 and 30, and 191 blazes classified as out of control.
