China sent its Fengyun-3 06 meteorological satellite from northwestern China's Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center on Thursday.
The Fengyun-3 06 satellite, atop a Long March-4C carrier rocket, was launched at 11:47 a.m. Beijing Time and has since entered its preset orbit.
The launch marked the 481st flight mission of the Long March carrier rocket series.
