North China's Hebei activates Level-II emergency response against floods
01:07

Due to the impact of Typhoon Doksuri, the fifth typhoon of this year, the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region has experienced continuous heavy rainfall. The National Fire and Rescue Administration dispatched 500 firefighters from neighboring Shandong Province, along with a team of flood rescue experts, to aid Hebei's Zhuozhou City, one of the worst-hit areas. In the flood-engulfed areas, firefighters have been patrolling the affected neighborhoods with rescue boats, evacuating trapped residents. While some residents opted to stay on upper floors until the floodwater subsides, others, including many seniors and children whose homes were seriously flooded, were safely escorted to dry land through concerted efforts of rescuers.
