The Chengdu Universiade Village, located on the campus of Chengdu University, was fully completed in March 2021. The event transformed student dormitories and canteens in the campus, and featured 22 new buildings including delegation apartments, a medical center and a swimming pool. Covering an area of about 800,000 square meters, the village has about 11,000 beds for accommodation and about 4,300 seats in the dining area. During the Games, it will be home for the international youth athletes in Chengdu, providing delegations with accommodation, catering, fitness, commerce, leisure and entertainment, cultural exchange and other services. After the Games, the delegation apartments will become student apartments, and the medical center will turn into the practice base for medical students at Chengdu University.
