Cambodia on Thursday inaugurated the third ring road encircling parts of the capital Phnom Penh. The third ring road stretches from the southwestern part of Phnom Penh to Kandal province in the east of the capital. The 53-km road, along with two river bridges and two flyovers, was constructed in a period of 52 months.
Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen and Chinese Ambassador to Cambodia Wang Wentian presided over the inauguration ceremony. Hun Sen said the road was a testament to the fruitful cooperation between Cambodia and China under the frameworks of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) and the community with a shared future.
