The Chengdu Universiade Village is located on the campus of Chengdu University. With an area of about 800,000 square meters, the village is equipped with apartments, canteens, a medical center and a swimming pool, and all the facilities will be re-used as office buildings for the campus. The Chengdu FISU World University Games Village will run 100 percent on green electricity during the sports event with hydro, wind and photovoltaic power supplied to the competition venues. The power is supplied by stations including Baihetan Hydropower Station and power base in Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture. In 2022, the installed capacity of renewable energy in southwest China's Sichuan Province exceeded 100 million kilowatts, accounting for about 86 percent of the province's total energy capacity. Sichuan's installed hydropower capacity is about 97.49 million kilowatts, ranking first nationwide.
