Heavy rainfall has eased in northern China's provinces. Rescue operations, including armed police and volunteer teams, are underway to aid those in need. The local government is still on alert for floods with threat of more bad weather to come.
Rain from the remnants of Typhoon Doksuri slammed the northern provinces, and the neighboring cities of Beijing and Tianjin starting last weekend, resulting in heavy flooding that stranded residents, washed away bridges and highways.
